As a work study student at Military Connect Student Services, I played a pivotal role in supporting service members and their dependents as they navigated the complexities of accessing and maximizing their VA education benefits while enrolled at Columbus State University (CSU).In this dynamic position, I served as a trusted point of contact for our military-affiliated student population, offering personalized guidance and comprehensive assistance throughout the entire process of utilizing VA education benefits. Drawing upon my in-depth understanding of VA policies and procedures, I provided invaluable support to individuals seeking to make the most of their educational entitlements. My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to advising, application assistance, advocacy, resource coordination, and outreach and education.Overall, my role as a work study student at Military Connect Student Services was driven by a deep commitment to serving those who have served our country, ensuring that they received the support and assistance they deserved as they pursued their academic goals at CSU. By providing personalized guidance, advocacy, and resources, I helped to create a supportive and inclusive environment where military-affiliated students could thrive and succeed.

As a Tutor/Peer Leader in Atmospheric Science, I embraced the opportunity to contribute to the academic success and personal growth of my peers, serving as a dedicated advocate for their learning and development in the field of atmospheric science. By sharing my passion for the subject, offering guidance and support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inquiry, I played an integral role in empowering students to excel academically, pursue their scholarly interests, and embark on fulfilling careers in their very near futures.

Fort Bragg, North Carolina

During my tenure at Fort Bragg, I undertook diverse roles, each contributing to my professional growth and expertise. Notably, I served as a motorcycle mentor and attained certification in field sanitation at the company level. At the battalion level, I assumed critical responsibilities as the Battalion Air NCO and later as the Battalion Air Movement Control Officer (AMO) for a span of approximately two years.As the Battalion Air NCO, I collaborated closely with two fellow soldiers and liaised with both our brigade and the U.S. Air Force to meticulously plan and execute airborne operations. Subsequently, as the AMO, I led efforts to certify, prepare, and oversee the loading of hazardous and non-hazardous materials for air transport worldwide, requiring seamless coordination across units and with our Air Force counterparts.
