I started designing commercially in 2017, working for Leeds Beckett Snowsports as the Media & Marketing Manager during my final year of study. I was responsible for the design and production of all promotional material for the annual holidays offered by the club. This included posters for print and digital design. I also had the opportunity to design the official club merchandise which ultimately reached a market outside of the club leading to record sales. Whilst travelling in Canada (2018/19) I maintained my design skills, working on personal projects and producing logos for small businesses from home, but more as a hobby than work. Upon returning from Canada I enrolled at Shillington College for Graphic Design as I craved formal training. I developed a plethora of new skills and the course (alongside my own additional reading) provided me with a thorough understanding of design theory (including UX & UI) and the rigorous design process from brief to print through regular briefs and assignments. This allowed me to produce a vast range of work, from editorial and print to web and app design, at a professional level. I graduated from Shillington in April 2020.
