Having graduated from the University of Exeter in the summer of 2012 with a 2:1 in Business Management with Marketing, I started to work for Fujitsu UK&I on a sales graduate scheme. This scheme was focussed on working with the UK government and defence and national security departments. As Youngones grew, I decided to leave my job in the attempt to make Youngones a bigger success. While at Exeter University I started YoungOnes which has a focus on premium quality and customisable onesies. Running this has taught me how important organisation/ time management and having a customer focus is. YoungOnes is looking to develop into a widely known apparel company worn mainly by people between 13-30. In September 2013 we found success on the TV show Dragons Den which helped to boost our awareness. In 2015, I decided to create a new sportswear company, Y1sport. Initially focusing on playing/training kit, it is quickly growing into one of the biggest UK brands. Our latest research has indicated we have the strongest social media engagement of all Hockry brands. IHaving been selected to train with the GB senior hockey squad since 2013, I am balancing my development of Youngones/Y1 with my international career.
