As President and Chief Investment Officer of Jones Capital, Tom facilitates the strategic direction and growth of the existing Jones portfolio companies and directs new investment opportunities. He received his BBA in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi and his MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar. Tom began his career at Amegy Bank and developed a strong passion for working with middle-market entrepreneurs. He later joined the CapStreet Group, a private equity firm focused on industrial and business services companies, where he became a Principal and a member of the firm’s investment committee. In addition to serving on the boards of the current Jones portfolio companies, he has served on the boards of Gulf Stream Marine, Ontellus, Thorpe Plant Maintenance & Engineering, Incentive Solutions, and APG. Outside of work, Tom and his wife spend the majority of their time chasing three young children around, but occasionally finds some time for reading, cooking, waterfowl hunting, and golf.
