  • Sas Render Systems
R&D Project Manager And Key Account Sales
Sas Render Systems Jan 2011 - Apr 2012
    Exeter
I was invited to return to SAS to act at first as a Project Coordinator to progress a number of key tasks that the General Manger needed help with due to increasing workload, including pursuing product certification, rebuilding the company website, producing technical datasheets and drawings, among others. This required diligence, a high level of inter-personal skills and familiarity with the products.Thereafter, I became the driver of product development and key account sales to bring innovations to market, particularly the ProWall offering. I engaged face to face relationships with clients such as Linden Homes and Midas Construction to gain repeated sales on large scale developments of multiple unit housing, hotels and student accommodation. The responsibility for product development allowed me to define the value and brand placement of SAS’ offering in the marketplace and deliver media from brochure design to in-house training. I also oversaw the BBA certification process to achieve the first 60-year durability cert on the market for our product category. This role necessitated working groups from every team in the business from warehousing to board of Directors. The broad mix of tasks required tact, vision and decisiveness.

One of three managers in a startup in which I played a pivotal role in the progress of the business. I was tasked with creating process and best-practice methodology according to stringent codes of practice as defined in the security industry. This initially focused upon the product and its installation and as the company developed progressed to managing stock and sourcing of all technical equipment, along with asset tracking and purchase ledger.Key support was required in the role to support sales, ranging from composition of tender documentation to customer training. I was also intuitively involved in pacification of (historically) high attrition accounts by creation and review of SLAs; in many cases proceeding to upscale installations and maintenance revenues. Ownership of key national accounts including Autologic Holdings Plc, Devon County Council, Cornwall County Council and Sunlight Services Group Plc (now Berendsen).
