Liaising with Transport Managers to ensure that the Transport Team operates in an profitable and efficient manner whilst ensuring customer service levels are met. Directly managing drivers including conducting disciplinaries. Managing relationships with sub contractors and managing collision reporting. Coaching and mentoring Operators to achieve their potential. Vehicle planning and operating.

Planning Drivers and lorries to ensure the delivery of suitable loads. Making sure lorries are worked efficiently. Managing Driver’s holidays. Completing collision reports and following up investigations. Listing with sub-contractors,

Allocations collections to outloads. Taking Driver statements following incidents. Managing Driver timesheets, royals and holidays. Enquiring Drivers and sub contractors understand the tasks required of them. Negotiating rates with sub-contractors.

Ensuring deliveries and collections were made to schedule. Ensuring KPIs were met. Supporting management with investigations and disciplinaries.
