GRAHAM COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, Safford, ArizonaExecutive Director – Volunteer- On-going collaboration with Chamber business owners about re-branding the Chamber of Commerce, restarted monthly business mixers and newsletters, and organized the election of a new Board of Directors. - Reduced Chamber expenses by 45% to bring expenditures in line with Chamber income. - Introduced new revenue streams per advertising strategy, local sponsorships, and government donations.- Sought out and engaged Arizona’s District 14 State Senate and Representatives in support of local business development initiatives.- Successfully introduced into sponsorship by House Speaker David Gowan, a bill that would further promote the sale of State Land Trust which benefits local public school districts.- Sought out and engaged local High School business and design students to help redesigning the Chambers logo and image. At Tara, I managed mining projects, including small tonnage, narrow vein underground mine development for polymetallic deposits and open pit sequencing for high-grade ore deposits. I also supervised day-to-day mine activities and operations. Some of my key achievements included: - Launching large-scale ore bulk sampling programs and metallurgical test programs, conducting financial analyses to evaluate economic impact. - Organizing supply chain operations for small rebuild and expansion of Don Roman Mill, developing scope of work and budget. - Championing Tara Minerals into the Dixie, Idaho mining district in 2012-2103 after an extensive review of other mining opportunities in the US. Coordinated state and federal permitting processes, securing environmental permits and community acceptance for 94 mining claims. - Ensuring compliance with MSHA health and safety regulations, developing a proactive safety culture throughout the workforce. - Developing and implementing annual and rolling five-year capital and operational budget, analyzing funding requirements and allocating funds appropriately.

At Hanlon, I coordinated scopes of work for mine and structural processing engineering projects for major and junior mining companies throughout the United States and internationally. I collaborated effectively with engineering designs teams to deliver engineering reviews and work products. Implemented new leaching methodologies and water treatment programs for confidential clients in Nevada. Some of my key achievements included: - Leading engineering and mine evaluation teams in geological and metallurgical testing and mine and mill assessments of the Don Roman mining district in Sinaloa, Mexico. Coordinated on-site operations. Designed and scheduled phased-approach implementation of ore reserve development and the Don Roman Mill rebuild and expansion. - Conducting extensive review of past metallurgical test work and water treatment proposals, and performed a site wide water balance for the Rosia Montana Gold Project in Romania. - Building strong client relationships through effective, open, and timely communication.

Technology Center, Sanchez AZ At the technology center, I tested and implemented engineering solutions to environmental problems by turning problems into potential assets. I coordinated column leach tests for Freeport’s various mines and designed and conducted metallurgical test programs for increasing ore recovery rates for oxide leaching. Some of my key achievements included: - Overseeing engineering design and technology development of $40M pilot water treatment plant at Sierrita Mine in Arizona. Technology development focused on residual metal recovery and sulfate reduction. - Serving as Freeport’s INAP (International Network for Acid Prevention) representative, collaborating technical aspects of acid rock drainage with senior technical vice presidents of major and mid-tier mining companies, both domestically and internationally. Served 2 years as the operating committee vice-chair and 1 year as chairman. - Providing engineering design and EPCM oversight of the $22M USD Blackwell, Oklahoma chemical sulfide reduction treatment of contaminated ground water. - Designing and directing environmental field demonstration projects for mine operations, including residual metal recovery, water treatment, and implementation of related proprietary technology. Safford Mine, Safford Az. At Safford, I pioneered leach protocols and recovery curves and stockpile plans for institutional leaching of highly a fractured copper deposit. I also provided assistance with geologic mapping of the Lone Star deposit and drilling programs. Morenci Mine, Morenci Az. At Morenci, I held short-term mining planning responsibilities for approximately 700k leach tons per day. I supervised haul truck route and stockpile tonnages for the leach stockpiles. I also designed and successfully implemented the transition from using wobbler technology to drip emitters (approx 80,000 gpm) for the entire Morenci leach stockpiles to conserve water resources and improve leach recovery rates.
