This has allowed me to direct and apply my learning very effectively, broadening my knowledge further than the scope obtained from clinical placements alone and allowing me to observe the real benefit Physiotherapy can have on these individuals. Having well stored these memorable examples, I will be able to easily recount important information on the nature and management of a given condition when required in future practice. This role also gave me the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, many with variable personalities on a background of underlying mental or developmental issues. On reflection, it is encouraging that I was selected to assist with additional tasks on top of the baseline fruit picking, sorting and packaging included in the regular hours of work for the majority of employees. I believe this is a a good example of my ingrained hard working nature, an attribute which has transferred well into my work today. Show less

I believe this was an important precursor to my clinical placements where organisational skills have been more important in a fast paced environment, particularly when dealing with large clinic lists, patients requiring multiple referrals and having shared clinical educators.Additionally, my appointment to this position is evidence of my pastoral care abilities, which have translated well to physiotherapy subjective examinations and building rapport with my patients.
