I have been involved in supporting the technical and commercial development of both core and transformational businesses within Lubrizol. I have chaperoned the transition of new products for transportation applications from R&D laboratory to full production and plant manufacturing, including collaborating with plant engineers and Product Safety and Compliance, among numerous other internal groups. Most recently, I have been a project lead for a number of transformative activities focused on clean energy. Notably, I serve as the Principle Investigator on a project funded by the US Department of Energy to enhance fuel cell components and enable this technology to provide clean and efficient energy for a better future. As such, I manage relationships and engagements with external partners including National Labs, Industry, and Academics.

My graduate work at Ohio State in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry focused on the design and synthesis of small molecules with therapeutic purposes. I worked towards the rational design and synthesis of molecules intended to prevent or alleviate the toxic effects of organophosphorus nerve agents, as well as developed a new class of inhibitors for protease enzymes with therapeutic potential to treat a number of disease states.

Influenced the rational design of small molecules through synthesis and the analysis of structure-activity relationships as part of a team of chemists and biochemists working towards identifying potential drug candidates to target and inhibit the integrase enzyme of the human immunodeficiency virus.
