Oversees Space Vehicle Layout team within the mechanical department. Assists in recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, project assignments, and implementing new processes for the group. Advises engineering team in technical challenges that arise as well as leading several projects.

Led a team of structural engineers, mechanism engineers, mechanical analysts, and designer in developing a multi element lunar lander system as part of NASA funded HLS App N study. Worked numerous trades investigating various architecture designs, lander configuration, component and mechanism placement. This role required me to interact with all disciplines of the spacecraft design team, taking their needs and optimizing the mechanical design to best need the requirements of the system.

As a member of the Space Systems Group, I have been involved in the design and manufacturing of commercial GEO communication satellites, as well as research and development in additive manufacturing (3D printing). My role as Payload Mechanical Lead for the Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 satellites required me to design the mechanical layout of the C-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band payloads. This involves working with various disciplines to optimize the various competing requirements, while managing a team of engineers and designers.

I led the mechanical payload design effort for the Ka-band, high throughput payload, of the Al Yah 3 spacecraft. While in this role, I oversaw a team of 15 to 20 engineers and designers working to optimizing the layout of the payload components, and the waveguide and coax that connected them. My other responsibilities included being the mechanical point of contact for the payload design as the satellite progressed through integration and test, and being the Cost Account Manager for the subsystem. I also created software tools that helped to reduce work and errors while doing payload design.

As a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer, I was the lead payload mechanical engineer on the SES-8 and Azerspace/Africasat-1A programs. I also contributed to the design and development of the GEOStar 3 GEO communication satellite bus. While in this role, I created and implemented processes, tools, and procedures to improve fidelity of engineering documents and designs

Joining the Space Systems Group team in Dulles, VA, I started out learning payload mechanical design on the Hylas 2 program, with it's high throughput, Ka-band payload. I was quickly made lead payload mechanical engineer on the Azerspace/Africasat-1A program, laying out the payload, and designing waveguide and coax for the C-band and Ku-band payload.

Being part of the Launch Vehicle group's design and manufacturing team, I supported Orbital's product line of thrust vector actuator systems for interceptors and launch vehicles. As part of the the integrated product team for electromechanical and hydraulic pneumatic TVA systems, I worked with suppliers, oversaw testing, performed various analyses, and exonerated systems of brokered EEE component concerns.
