Serving as an Executive Manager and Chief Engineer at Amangani Resort, a luxury level property, maintaining the building inside and out requires a much higher level of attention to detail. Function must be mixed with aesthetic, and everything must be viewed through the eyes of the guest. In the Engineering Department we must balance our service and repairs with our guests expectations of privacy and individual needs. Engagement with our guests can frequently include information on programs offered along with local information, almost as "preview tour guides" at times. As Executive Director of Facilities in the hospitality industry I was responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility's including the physical building structure, meeting space, grounds, restaurant, kitchen, pool & spa, business center, all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, boiler, chillers, cooling tower and HVAC&R systems. Implement and oversee a quarterly preventative maintenance program. I was also responsible for the efficient operation and production of all phases of housekeeping, laundry and public space areas of the hotel, while effectively maintaining and ensuring the highest level of safety, security, cleanliness and guest satisfaction of hotel guest rooms and public areas. Overseeing Executive Housekeepers, Chief Engineers, supervisors, inspectors, IT Department, Security and other members of the Engineering and housekeeping team.As a Regional Director of Maintenance/Construction for PM Northwest Management Services, my duties included overseeing all maintenance and construction operations for several Multi-Family properties including two large senior communities. Procurement of contractors to complete various capital improvement projects, identifying and implementing short and long term capital improvements and preventative maintenance programs.
