Gaining employment in the financial sector has been a long-term goal for me. This coincides with my curiosity in understanding and appreciating the psyche of consumer interactions along with the mathematical and statistics challenges that comes with providing successful financial advice. Accordingly, my acute interest is evidenced by my enthusiasm to complete additional courses pertaining to understand and successfully interacting with consumers, (i.e., Hootsuite social marketing certification). Furthermore, by undertaking employment in sales roles I have further consolidate my soft skills in interacting with clients and consumers. This development has occurred all whilst I have been completing my studies at the University of Queensland, majoring in a Bachelor of Advanced Businesses (Honours). The culmination of this official education and external soft skill opportunities will provide me with the greatest opportunity to enter the financial sector upon the completion of my degree in six months’ time. Over the last three years of study, I have learnt skills including but not limited to calculating financial derivates, understanding statistical analysis, interpreting marketing analytics and professional and informal interactions amongst peers, customers, and superiors. I believe that I would be a benefit to any business given my qualities such as being a flexible team player, driven and not ashamed to be willing to ask for help. Additionally, my experience in sales has provided me with the privilege of dealing with people from all backgrounds and understanding how to connect to them. However, it also provided me the invaluable experience in dealing with adversity and rejection. My goal is to gain employment in the financial sector, particularly in financial planning with the goal of growing your businesses profit.
