Working on a series of B2B association publications, websites and events across multiple sectors including Quality World (CQI), Unison, Building Worker (UCATT), Structural Engineer (ISTRUCTE) and Recruitment Matters (REC). I became a part of the Recruiter Magazine team following Redactive’s acquisition of the publication.Later I was the key sales contact for Private Eye magazine, which enabled me to develop relationships with a number of advertising agencies as well as gain experience in the consumer market.

Responsible for spearheading the successful launch of two new energy, Managing SCADA Security Risks and Distribution Automation. Generation of revenue through sponsorship, exhibition sales and paid for speaking opportunities. 100% of the revenue generated in this role was new business as the sectors covered were new to the company.

Delegate sales manager overseeing the acquisition of paid attendees across a series of innovative international energy events and summits. The role was autonomous, requiring me to research the event topics in depth to better identify relevant groups of senior professionals who would have an interest in coming or contributing to the events.

Assisted in driving revenues across the Supply Management and CIPS portfolio. This included development of print, digital, national conference and award ceremony channels. I was responsible for deploying the very first commercial content based solution for the publication, as well as the delivering the first sponsored roundtable event.

Classified sales executive for the Special Features, Recruitment and Franchise divisions of all three of Trinity Mirror’s national newspapers which included the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People. Duties included closing multiple classified sections on a daily basis and liaising regularly with some of the leading recruitment and mail order advertising agencies.
