I am a director in the Tax Transparency & Total Tax Contribution team in PwC with more than 20 years of corporate tax experience including working in the tax transparency arena for over 10 years. I have worked with a range of companies on their approach to country-by-country tax reporting including helping them understand the application of the OECD regulations. He also worked on the European Commission’s impact assessment of country by country reporting for financial institutions.I also have extensive experience of helping companies to develop their response to the evolving tax transparency and sustainability reporting landscape. This includes helping companies to design and implement tax reporting strategies, to collect and analyse their Total Tax Contribution and country by country data, and to formulate tax reporting disclosures.I have worked on Total Tax Contribution studies for a number of trade groups including UK Finance which represents the UK banking sector, and the Hundred Group of Finance Directors of the largest UK companies.For several years, I managed PwC’s collaboration with the World Bank on the Paying Taxes indicator of the World Bank’s Doing Business study which evaluated the ease of paying taxes in around 190 economies.
