I am currently a first year student at Birmingham City university studying Sport Business Management. Throughout my academic experience I have always found ways to link my subjects to sport especially football. By achieving CDD in my A-levels in Business, Statistics and Geography is was able to achieve my goal of studying a sport degree to create a potential stepping stone into the industry of football. Since the moment I first kicked a football I knew I wanted to be apart of this industry.By being part of a football team from a young age I have developed many skills that I still use today such as problem solving and leadership skills. I would like to achieve coaching badges in football as I am very intrigued and ambitious about the statistical and data analysis side of football. I have also experienced football abroad too with my school and also my local team where I visited Dutch team Vitesse Arnhem and Portuguese team FC Porto where I got to experience life as an academy player and understand how professional football clubs train and how they use technology in their facilities. I am also a Course Representative for my Sport Business Management degree so the skills I develop in this role will be crucial to encouraging potential new students to come to the university to learn about the sports industry just like me.
