Health Plan Operations: As CEO of the Georgia Health Plan grew the plan from 19,000 members to 200,000 members (over $500 mm annual revenue.) Consistent top company performance in sales and profitability. Recognized in multiple President’s Council awards and as inaugural Coventry Health Plan of the Year.Coventry Pharmacy Management Services (CPMS):Led Coventry’s $7 billion spend, 88 million prescription per year business. Responsible for strategy, operations and finances for Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid pharmacy benefit programs. Strategic Management: As Coach of several different markets over eight years introduced growth and profit strategies and made key staffing, pricing, geographic expansion and provider contracting decisions. In this role the CEO of the local health plan reports directly to the Coach. Coaching responsibilities have included North Carolina, Louisiana, and Utah. Total revenues for reporting entities approximated $700 million. New Media Marketing: Created a team to improve the prospect and member experience through web, email and mobile channels. Designed and contracted a lead management program for direct to consumer sales. Acquisitions: Oversaw acquisition and integration of Wellpath, Kaiser and Maxicare in North Carolina, and Altius in Utah. Participated in numerous other due diligence activities. Product Development: Responsible for Coventry corporate product development activities for two years. Introduced and implemented low-option health plan strategy for direct report health plans and gained wide adoption for strategy throughout most of Coventry’s 14 business units.

CEO of Utah operations spanning open access HMO, POS, PPO and indemnity products for over 165,000 members. Directed geographic expansion, implemented specialty capitation arrangements and physician profiling. Doubled profitability and successfully integrated the acquired systems developed by MetraHealth.

Chief executive for Georgia and Alabama HMO, POS, PPO, and indemnity healthcare operations with revenues of approximately $112 million.

Responsible for performance of 77,000 member groups model HMO with 10 medical centers.
