Executive
As an executive and lead engineer on the Amazing Workplace team, I design and develop the Amazing Workplace Website and Employee Happiness Management System.
Manager - Software Engineering
I started my journey with TTR (acquired by Avalara) as an entry-level developer with limited full-stack experience. By the end of my time at Avalara, I was leading our engineering team as an experienced full-stack engineering manager. My team primarily worked to support and expand our Tax Research product. In addition, we worked directly with state governments to solve and standardize their tax remittance process.Working with the Colorado DOR, our team delivered a Sales Tax Lookup solution unlike anything that existed. I led the engineering effort, and our team delivered the requirements under time and under budget. I was fully responsible for our production servers and environment, handling code reviews and deployments. The project won the 2021 Project of the Year through the Colorado Technology Association.During my time managing at TTR, our team experienced no turnover, and our workplace was consistently ranked 1st or 2nd best place to work in the state. I prided myself on creating a safe, inclusive, and collaborative working experience for my team.During our acquisition integration with Avalara, I was responsible for learning and implementing Agile methodologies. I quickly migrated our projects into Jira, adopted their processes, and trained our team. As a SCRUM master, I led our standups, refinement meetings, and sprint reviews. Our team consistently received recognition for our Agile practices, used as an example for other teams.I worked hands-on with the design and development of our Tax Research product. We worked to migrate our legacy monolith application to a distributed micro-service architecture, using technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, ElasticSearch, Postgres, GoLang, PHP, and Vue.js.I worked extremely hard during my time in this position. I was fueled by my desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others and develop myself professionally. I often put in 70 to 80-hour weeks, gaining 10+ years of experience in just 5 years.
Mobile Application Developer
Developed a mobile, narrative based game for iOS that was published to the App Store in July 2016. Passenger, like my previous applications, was developed using all web technologies. I was responsible for nearly all of the development and design for the application. Over the year of development on this game, my coding techniques have improved tremendously and I’m genuinely proud of the results.

Spectrum: Connection to Color takes connecting dots to a whole new level! Work through challenging puzzles by linking dots and discovering new colors. Each level provides tricky obstacles and colorful conundrums.Puzzle progression starts out simple, introducing the player to the basics of connecting small dots to their matching big dot without overlapping lines, but quickly introduces a new idea: What happens when you connect two different colors?Later puzzles reveal new challenges including smaller dots that hold less color, void zones that provide an exception to the overlapping lines rule, and clone dots that double any color mixed into them!--Developed a mobile puzzle game for iOS that was published to the App Store in February 2015. The application was built using web technologies including HTML, CSS, and Javascript and I created it independently of any class assignment. For me, the most important part of this experience was being able to see the development of a game all the way through from start to finish.
Mobile Application Developer
I started working with the CEO of Sound Web Solutions, Tim shortly after I discovered my passion for programming. We worked together to develop an idea he'd had for smartphone scavenger hunts. The web application was built to support a wide range of play styles. I worked with him for more than a year on this project and during that time, vastly improved my HTML, CSS, and Javascript development skills. I also had a chance to dip into some back-end development with C#, .NET, and mySQL. The entire experience was incredibly valuable.
