As a Production Sergeant I am responsible for the planning, delegation and progress reporting of all work conducted by a repair section of up to 15 trades people. I am also the Technical Lead for the 4 junior Electronic Technicians in my team. I am responsible for the running of a fast pace workshop department in the repair of Army's High Velocity Missile Systems (HVM) and the platforms that support them, both wheeled and tracked. -Planning and scheduling day to day production of a busy repair section, ensuring fleet availability is maintained for the user at all times.-Technical lead for junior technicians in the section, advising them with failure diagnosis and repair, certifying their work and mentoring them in trade proficiency and development.

Following 2 years of trade training as a Land Systems Electronics Technician at the School of Electronic and Aeronautical Engineering (SEAE) I joined a highly skilled and diverse team of trades people charged with supporting a broad range of military equipment from radio communications kit, surveillance and target acquisition systems to armored vehicle electronics and weapons control systems.- Provided servicing and maintenance support, both preventative and reactive, on a array of military equipment, conducting in depth failure diagnosis and repair of various electronic systems.- Aided with the daily running of an 8 person repair section of different trade groups and skills, ensuring repair tasks were completed in line with strict deadlines in order to support a high readiness regiment both in camp and deployed on operations around the world.- Contributed to continuous improvement of the sections working practices, with an emphasis on the health and safety of our personnel through training and mentoring in the use of PPE, COSSH and engineering best practice.
