I support (9) Natomas Unified District schools ranging from Elementary through High School with the integration the district's vision, core values, goals and commitments to their school community. I directly support the school's Principals with the implementation of the district's (4) commitments and areas of focus and how they support the school's day to day activities on campus. With the support of the Chief Academic officer's team we create and implement professional staff development on a variety of topics ranging from student literacy, DEI, SEL, PBIS, and work with grade level and subject area PLCs to use student data to driven decision making, so ALL NUSD students are college and or career ready.

The main responsibility is to serve as the instructional leader and chief executive of American Lakes School. This includes being responsible for the administration of school and district initiated programs involving curriculum, budget, operations, guidance, students and staff; to coordinate assigned activities with other school sites, the District office and the community; and to provide responsible and complex administrative support to the Superintendent.

As a member of Natomas Unified School District’s Student and Family Engagement (SAFE) team, I took the lead on the district wide adoption of the new History/Social Studies (HSS) curriculum. This included k-12th grade pilot programs, parent and community information nights and data collection from teachers, students and parents. I also worked with the League of Women Voters and secondary HSS departments to implement student voter registration and mock elections at all High School throughout the district. I increased parent and student engagement by implementing Teachers Involve Parents in Schoolwork (TIPS), Bedtime math, and Crazy8’s through the district’s elementary schools. I also supported other members of the SAFE team to implement district wide college field trips for all 3rd, 6th, 8th and 10th grade students. As well as supported multiple opportunities for the community to be involved with the district’s Parent University program.

Valley High School

Under the direction of the Principal, organized, coordinated and administered assigned programs in the science, PE, VAPA and business departments and activities related to student discipline, attendance and instruction at Valley High School. Assist the Principal with administrative duties involving student discipline, Common Core curriculum development, Common Core State Standard implementation and oversaw of school plant operations. Provide administrative coverage of student activities, athletic and other events; supervised and evaluated the performance of personnel in the science, PE, VAPA, business and custodial.

Valley High School

Successfully lead the entire Valley High School Math department through the implementation process of converting to the teaching and learning model. Facilitate sensitive meetings that addressed the department’s issues and concerns about the teaching and learning model. Helped rewrite all of our common assessments and created new informative assessments that included CST release questions so that we increased our rigor in our classroom, which in turn raised the expectations of our students. Help educate the department on how to use the data that we were collecting on our students to help drive our classroom instruction. As Department Chair I have successfully communicated and work with all of the math teachers and administrators to improve our over all test scores. Results: For the first time Valley High School’s Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Calculus teams are 100% committed to the teaching and learning model and at our late start Wednesday meetings we are truly a PLC discussing best teaching practices and or daily lessons that are student data driven.

Sacramento, California Area

Responsible for project managing million dollar projects relating to the infrastructure supporting MCI’s technical floor space, internet, and fiber optic network covering the area from Boise Idaho to Bakersfield CA. Facilitated weekly executive level meetings and served as a liaison and mediator between construction and government permitting and regulatory organizations. Responsible for scheduling, budgets and project reports for all phases of the project. Worked closely with multiple facility personnel and contractors to create harmonious teamwork so that there was a minimum disruption of day-to-day operations. Use MS PowerPoint to present executive level reports on future projects.
