Gallery Manager
CurrentWhilst working in a small team, I have been responsible for a large number of duties and tasks during my time there, which I have developed and expanded on in my working life. My main responsibilities involve; maintenance of the daily running of the gallery, management of a selection of freelancing technicians, photographers and interns, logistical planning and execution for both London and Los Angeles based galleries and administrative tasks that include but are not limited to: invoicing, inventorising of work, image archiving and editing.I also act as an artist liaison, speaking to the artists in person and via email regarding their needs and requirements for upcoming shows, through arrangement of production, completion of work, research and preparation of work for shipment. Due to the small team, I have taken on tasks since working at the gallery, including applications to many international art fairs, designing online and printed advertising for the gallery and assisting the director in curating the shows.I have frequent and relevant experience in working towards a deadline, often going outside of normal working hours to achieve completion of tasks to a high standard which I set myself. I often see my work as a reflection of my self and take pride in representing the gallery in this way.As well as working within the gallery I also have a breadth of experience working outside of the gallery setting in pop up shows and fairs, providing more organisational support to the team and corresponding artist(s). Examples of this have been a external exhibition at the Milbank Tower in 2014 and Frieze Art Fair London, 2015 and FIAC Art Fair, Paris also in 2015.
