Personal Goal PursuitCareer Break May 2021 - PresentOver the past three years, I dedicated myself to restoring a 120-year-old cabin nestled in the Redwood Forest of Sonoma County. My approach focused on preserving the cabin’s historical character while opening up walls to invite the stunning beauty of the surrounding redwood trees into the living space. The result was a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship with a modern, open design, creating a seamless connection between the cabin’s rustic past and its natural environment. Throughout the restoration, I carefully reused rare, old-growth virgin materials, ensuring sustainability while maintaining the authenticity of the original structure. This experience deepened my appreciation for balancing heritage with modernity, all while embracing the beauty of nature.
