I’ve been lucky enough to work in some of the best hotels in the country. My experience is predominantly in Hospitality and whilst studying a with a Level 4 in Hospitality & Business Management my passion changed. Business owners became my new passion, I did some hunting and the AAT offered a great variety of bookkeeping and accounting courses to fill my knowledge gaps so I could provide an end to end business support service. Small businesses owners by and large work longer hours and feel less appreciation than most employees ever do. The up side: it doesn’t have to be this way! Through a bit of planning and the ability to work on your business instead of just in it can help you build to the point where you’re running a business, not owning a job. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some great business ideas in the last year, all with business owners who were struggling to get on top of stuff. It’s been fabulous to watch them grow and develop into much more productive and well run operations. The first bit of advice to small business owners: stop thinking like a small business owner!
