It forms part of the overall GLNG project valued at 18.5 Billion.The project is a joint-venture between SANTOS and three of the world's largest energy companies, PETRONAS, TOTAL and KOGAS. This is a word first marquee gas pipeline project in that the 1050mm pipeline was thrust through a segmented tunnel excavated by a Tunnel Boring Machine from the mainland to Curtis Island whilst it is flooded. Saipem Pty Ltd have been engaged as the pipeline EPC. Thiess Pty Ltd have been engaged as their tunneling subcontractor.As a client representative I ensured that GLNG Pipeline HSS requirements and recommendations were implemented by the EPC and its Subcontractors following audits, inspections and observations undertaken. .
