Collects samples, performs standardized testing, and logs meter readings. Performs various routine operational duties and receives on-the job training from higher levels of staff. I worked with major department heads of the College to increase production of fresh food for the student body. I was responsible for planning the calendar, harvest schedule, and both long/short term goals. It was my job to maintain the soil, crops, and irrigation, as well as to deal with emergencies as they arose. Record Keeping of; costs, time allocated to different tasks, produce output and final use were all essential. Due to the amount of time required to maintain successful production levels of the High Tunnel recruiting volunteers was also a vital role for me as well as to provide education and team building.

I gained hands on experience and advanced my knowledge of Water Management Systems. I focused on water production and distribution, however I also learned about the wastewater sanitation component to get a better understanding of the entire system for a municipality. I helped repair equipment to ensure that the City always has a clean water supply.

Used handheld and power tools to install new equipment for facilities on campus. Learned safety protocol for working in campus warehouse while forklifts are in use. Drove campus vehicles to assist with pickup, delivery, and receiving of shipments.
