Teaching introductory wood and metal shop classes to several hundred first year students in the Environmental Design program. I have adapted and redesigned the metal shop and wood shop curriculum and projects over the years to suit online, hybrid, and virtual learning environments.

The Passive Urban Greenhaus project (PUG) is underway over-top of OCAD U - in 2014 I helped design and build an exclusively passive-solar powered greenhouse that's been growing good greens in Toronto's coldest months. Our goal is to prototype a greenhouse that is easy to put together, durable, doesn't require a building permit, and increases local food.

I assist artists, galleries, and private clients to visualize and create sculptures, support material, armatures and other solutions in wood, as well as provide installation assistance. Most recently working with the Toronto Biennial of Art.

Obtained CCIL certification, and performed type C and D tests on aggregate material to assure quality standards were maintained. Created reliable and accurate reports, took field samples and liaised with clients and governmental organizations.

Led renovation work on the company’s two main repair shops, improving energy efficiency through insulation, framing adjustments, new garage doors and mechanical systems changes, and interior storage and organization revamp. Took one pole barn structure from heating fuel costs of more than $12,000.00 a year to less than $5000.00. Provided working drawings.
