I'm a data-focused computer scientist who loves learning language in myriad forms, including doing any online word puzzles I can find and developing code of varying degrees of usefulness. I strongly believe that the most valuable insights are those that seem obvious only after they are made, that it is more important to find the right question than the wrong answers, and that clarity should trump complexity whenever possible. I'm interested in the intersection of human language and computer processing, especially in how to glean insights from the messy pile of words, letters, abbreviations, and misspellings that is true human communication.I have written code of some complexity, from short coding problems to school projects to work applications, in VBA, HTML, CSS (we count those), C, C++, REGEX, Python, R, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, Julia, SQL, Bash, and PowerShell.
