• Support M&A activity through due diligence and promptly assuming responsibility for on-boarding new acquisitions and billing practices to ensure efficiency and controls are consistent with the Shared Services model• Lead a global team of Billing staff and Managed Information Services Specialists in a Shared Services environment responsible for providing administrative order support to Field Sales and Services Operations from sales opportunity through to accurate and timely invoice issuance and booking• Develop and leverage key business relationships to ensure Billing staff, processes and systems meet the strategic needs of the company focused on enhancing the overall customer experience• Oversee the maintenance of standalone billing systems to accommodate new strategic pricing models while continually standardizing systems and processes and managing tight invoicing controls• Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with billing policies, procedures and effective controls that comply with local sales tax and regulatory requirements as well as Revenue Recognition per company’s accounting policies, monthly financial close procedures and financial audits• Create an environment of continual process improvement and leadership development through empowerment, delegation and mentoring• Implement best practices, consistency and standardization in billing systems and processes designed to increase invoice accuracy and frequency and drive overall Billing staff productivity gains• Work closely with the Director, Accounts Receivable in further driving the DSO below industry standards
