Senior Backend DeveloperLadbrokes Australia Mar 2016 - Nov 2016Bowen Hills, Queensland, AuThe project was mainly a replacement for the company’s current mission critical system written in PHP. The intention being to replace the monolith system with .Net micro services. My team were the API team, so we developed the micro services from the API down to the database. The architecture followed a CQRS and the design was kept stateless to allow for scaling.Development was both TDD and BDD. By the time I left, there was approximately 80% code coverage. In terms of technology stack; The services were written in C# and where self-hosted using OWIN. The database was SQL Server 2014 with NHibernate as the ORM. The messaging system was RabbitMQ and we used NServiceBus to manage it. Our testing used NUnit, MSpec and Specflow. Continuous integration was handled by TeamCity, and deployment with Octopus Deploy. We used New Relic for monitoring. Our source control was git using Bitbucket and Gitlab. We had integration with Blueshyft for retail POS.Are development process was followed Agile and included sprint planning, morning stand ups and retros. All code went through shoulder checks code reviews before merging to the main develop branch. All team members were involved with all technologies usedTechnologies and methodologies included: • C# 6• T-SQL• PHP (Code Analysis)• OWIN• NHibernate• RabbitMQ• NServiceBus• NUnit• MSpec• Specflow• TeamCity• Octopus Deploy• New Relic• Git• Bitbucket• Gitlab• Blueshyft• TDD -

It the case where more information is required the tool provided the additional requirements or questions for the staff to check. Additionally comments could be recorded against each for later reference and audit.Technologies required to achieve the above included: • WPF• WCF• C#• Autofac• JSON• XML• Perforce (Source Control) -
Senior DeveloperStrictly Service Pty Ltd Oct 2013 - May 2015Strictly Service is an online start-up company whose main focus is the automotive industry. Specifically the area of vehicle servicing.I was brought in to take over from the third party company that did the initial development, and bring the product to market. We launched in April 2014.So far the role has required the fixing of bugs and adding new features that are in line with the current phase. This includes a redesign of the payment services using Eway as well as the integration of various other vendor systems, such as Autodata. The Technologies used in the project so far are: • Razor• Asp.Net• C# 4.5• MVC 4• SQL Server 2012• Entity Framework 5• Dependency Injection (Ninject)• Less (dotless)• jQuery• Twitter Bootstrap• jQuery UI• HTML 5• CSS 3• Git & Github• AutoMapper

Web DeveloperLite N' Easy Mar 2013 - Sep 2013This role involved the development of new web projects as well as the support and maintenance of existing projects. Some of the technologies used to develop these projects include: • Razor• Asp.Net• C# & VB.Net 4.5• MVC 4• SQL Server 2008 R2• Entity Framework 5• Dependency Injection (Ninject)• Less• jQuery• jQuery Mobile• jQuery UI• HTML 5• CSS 3• SVN• Unit Testing One of my first tasks was to implement a source control system, in this case SVN using TortoiseSVN and Visual SVN Server. Two projects where I was the sole developer were the Demographic Survey and Fundraising Website projects. The Demographic Survey was a page on the current website that asked customers to put in their height and weight and it recorded their BMI range. A customer would be sent an email with a link to the page and the link would include a hash value that identified the customer to prevent duplicates. This page was developed in Asp.Net, C#, SQL Server 2008 R2, HTML 5, CSS 3 and jQuery. One of the challenges with this project was the styling requirement clashed with the requirement to support older browsers including IE 6 – 8, combined with a short delivery time. It was however completed and launched successfully thanks to a combination of hard work, creativity and careful management of expectations. The Fundraising Website is a new website to support the new fundraising arm of Lite n’ Easy. It assumes a user has a Code to identify the group that the fundraising is for and then allows the user to order and pay for their items. The customer is sent a confirmation email to inform the use that the payment and placement of the order was successful, as well as any further instructions they might need.As this was a new project it was developed using Razor, MVC 4, C# 4.5, Entity Framework 5, SQL Server R2, Dependency Injection (Ninject), jQuery, jQuery UI, Less (dotless) and Unit Testing.

Senior DeveloperSpeedwell Jan 2012 - Dec 2012As a senior .Net developer, this role required the use of a number of technologies, including: C# 3.5, 4 and 4.5; Asp.Net; MVC 4; SQL Server 2008 R2; Entity Framework 5 and the Facebook SDK.The first project I was involved with was the creation of an application for Dominos to allow users to place orders through a Facebook app. It involved the adaptation of the code for their mobile web ordering site, repurposed and re-skinned for the Facebook app. As well as working on the code for both the UI and the database, I was tasked with the setting up of the Facebook objects and the auto posting features. This was a challenging project as the Facebook SDK was still in beta and continued to evolve during the development process. Despite the challenges, through working closely with our QA department, we delivered on time. And according to Dominos, the new app out sold the mobile app in the first month.During a four week period, when the studios Architect was away on leave, I was ask to step in to be the Architect on the website for the new RNA Convention Centre. This involved wire-framing, working with the designers and developers as well as meeting with the client to get the project to sign off. From time to time I was asked to work as the sole developer on projects, usually for clients that needed changes done quickly. Including one project that had been languishing for more than a year. Due the strong team work between myself and the project manager, we managed to resurrect this client and at the time of writing this, there is now a solid relationship between this client and Speedwell.Other projects included a Greenfields project of a start-up, designed for use by companies OH&S to the tracking of employee’s journeys.Other Technologies used: Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS 3, Twitter Bootstrap, Umbraco, Brochure
