Placement year as part of the Integrated BSc/MSc degree is at Sanofi's (formerly Genzyme) Haverhill site. Worked on a variety of projects concerning polymer and process chemistry as part of the technical and research department team.

When visitors arrive (mainly prospective students and their parents) I facilitate their time with us in the chemistry department. Making sure they feel comfortable and can ask any questions is essential so a chat over lunch is an important time to help them settle into their day. After this, we have a two hour campus tour before they are taken for an interview.
