My role is to ensure that the Rules of Racing are adhered to throughout the days racing and to help ensure the smooth running of each raceday by working in conjunction with all the relevant other teams and individuals. When matters arise, it is my job to convene and run enquiries, advise the raceday Stewards on a Penalty if there is a rule breach, and to then compile a report post raceday if required.It is a job where verbal and written communication skills are essential along with the ability to show initiative and be decisive in a time pressured environment.I was seconded to Singapore and Australia in early 2020 for 3 months shadowing the raceday Regulation teams in each respective jurisdiction.

My duties included running a side of the yard, overseeing 17 horses. In addition to this I ran all of the mornings lots, making sure everyone knew their duties and what they were riding - when and where. The lots went out to the minute at Glebe House Stables, and it was my job and responsibility to make sure this happened.

I worked as an artist painting both landscapes and horse racing scenes in oils from 2011 to 2014 and had two solo exhibitions in London which were both “sell outs”. My first, in April 2013, was at the Osborne Studio Gallery in Knightsbridge and my second, in May 2014, was at Gallery 8, on Duke Street St James’.
