Managed external audit partner relationships, monitored audits and reported to the chairman of the audit committee. Advised on long-term business and financial planning. Reviewed and approved all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures.• Successfully lead the due diligence process on the sale of the publicly traded corporation• Built and implemented a successful tax asset utilization blueprint.• Worked directly and cooperatively on strategy and corporate restructuring, achieving total reorganization of the corporation.• Played a key role in streamline Corporation’s business units which aiding in raising the net profitability of the Corporation and more than doubling of the EBITDA and cash flow• Successfully facilitated the Corporation’s first employee’s handbook which merged all of the operations various and sometimes conflicting policies into one universal and comprehensive policy handbook

Responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, general accounting, human resource management, treasury, divisional finances and tax management for the Corporation. Reported directly to the CEO and the CFO. Played key role in bringing the Corporation back to its core business units and divesting of operating units in the mutual fund retail space, resulting in the Corporation’s sustainable profitability. Worked through and led the financial aspects of selling and/or closing non-core businesses. Built new and effective quarterly and yearly budgeting templates for internal management reporting. Responsibilities included the following:• Monthly and quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of all financial statements for divisional companies and consolidated financials• Review and approval of monthly divisional financial statements, and filing of all working capital requirements for multiple divisions which required reporting with the OSC• Compiled yearly budgets and forecasts for reporting divisions and with timely tracking of financial results compared to budgets. Provided analysis of variance to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee• Completed all tax returns, along with calculations and accounting for tax provisions• Managed the transfer equity relationship for all treasury stock issuance, stock option plan renewals, stock loans, dividend payments• Managed all aspects of the head office and operating divisions with respect to; office lease renewals and renovations, office equipment lease renewals, liaison with independent IT service providers, renewal and negotiations of all insurance policies. • Managed all aspects of the Human Resource department including; processing payroll and benefits for all employees, working with independent counsel for all employee terminations.

Private hedge fund portfolio management with assets under management of approximately $1 billion, the portfolio included 25+ funds with various structures of complexity with trading in Distressed, Convertible, Fixed Income and Long/Short Statistical Arbitrage.Reported to the CFO. Managed all aspects of review and reporting for the back-office accounting and fund valuations. Primary responsibilities included the timely review of NAV fund valuations, financial statements & related reports. Other responsibilities included the following:• Managed a staff of 5 fund accountants• Monitored compliance with GAAP & coordination of year-end audit engagements• Assisted staff accountants with valuation, accounting problems and financial reporting issues• Monitored accounting team NAV progress to ensure timely reporting on weekly valuation reporting• Managed new fund launches, preparation of valuation for first month and monitor staff training
