The East Troy Electric Railroad Museum runs 7.5 miles of the only remaining segment of The Milwaukee Electric Railroad & Light Co. (TMER&L) interurban system, which was the original company which became WE Energies. The mission of this 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation is to preserve rail heritage in Wisconsin and throughout the U.S. by maintaining and running historic electric railroad equipment and educating the public on the history of the railroad and each railroad car.

Duties* Coordinates with Customer Service Help Desk to prioritize pending service requests. Triage calls based on class impact and available resources. * Performs advanced troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of computer equipment and peripherals for individual workstations, classrooms and labs at all District locations. Perform assessment on issues and apply remediation with customer impact in the selection process. * Troubleshoots and maintains computer software. This includes operating systems, application software and specialized instructional software. Perform assessment on issues and apply remediation with customer impact in the selection process.* Installs new and existing computer equipment and peripherals. Select method of install and test product to confirm. Daily 5* Work with internal customers on possible upgrades and solutions to computer problems and needs. Work with and select best option. * Maintains positive working relationships with vendors and outside technical support personnel in order to quickly and efficiently resolve complex hardware/software issues. Use conflict resolution and other communication methods to result in positive impact.* Research complex problems and advise/recommend solutions to the refresh leader as to the size and capacity of new printers and workstations with special hardware needs for district customers.Knowledge & Skills* Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software including Windows operating systems, Apple/Macintosh operating systems, printers, and audio/visual equipment.* Extensive knowledge of computer troubleshooting and installation procedures.* Extensive knowledge of best-practices for virus and malware removal.* Demonstrated knowledge of customer service best practices to achieve successful outcomes when handling difficult situations and customers.*Demonstrated knowledge of incident tracking systems.* Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies.
