Cisco QPS (Quantum Policy Suite) specialization integration and application in mobile, wireless and wireline access networks and integration with IMS and backbone networks and components such as PCRF, AF, DPI, various CSCF components, PGW/xGW, SBC, etc. and integration with edge/backbone networks where IMS components are not present. I spent my first 6 months in corporate location setting up and standardizing SE lab, partner integration lab, and support & service lab. Since then I have been working directly with customers’ marketing and business groups defining new service offerings, their engineering groups completing integration and testing in their labs, and their operations organizations in installing and implementing equipment in production and delivering service to subscribers. Products provide last mile policy services and resource and subscriber management for multi-service providers supporting evolving standards in broadband, MSO and wireline and wireless markets.

Camvera designed, implemented, installed, operated, administered and supported WiMax and long back haul wireless and wireline regional data, voice and video services. My involvement included sales engineering, business development and infrastructure architecture, design and adaptation for services across the network. Services beyond typical data included VoIP for commercial customers, streaming video and streaming data. Disciplines applied included traffic engineering, traffic shaping, IPS/IDS, and multiple layers of security.

I worked on product design, integration, testing and proof of concept demonstrations of Mobile IP implementations with infrastructure integration for RFC2547bis MPLS and fast reroute utilizing routers and devices to provide persistent network connectivity across multiple simultaneous wireless environments. The wireless transports included cellular (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA/1xRTT/EV-DO, iDEN), various WiFi (802.11a/b/g over 2.4GHz and 4.9GHz set aside for public safety ) and WiMax (802.16d/e and 802.20 prototypes) products utilizing Mobile IP. Target markets included military, federal, state and local government agencies. Products included Cisco family of routers (including facilitating the development of the MARS product line) and switches, Call Manager and Unity and Twisted Pair WAVE voice integration products.

I worked with the Georgia Technology Authority on bid and project specifications. I also designed, integrated and implemented multi-location voice, video and data networks for small businesses. This involved mostly WiFi and small switches and routers including L2 and L3 security and encryption to meet government requirements such as HIPPA privacy and security requirements for medical and dental businesses.

Member of only account team in world to achieve revenue goals in fiscal 2002. Helped successfully introduce advanced and Internet services on wireless cellular networks. Successfully implemented CSD and WAP demonstrations for commercial deployment with Tritel, Vodafone, PowerTel, and Triton PCS. Implemented CSD, WAP and GPRS for PowerTel and Triton PCS. This facilitated Ericsson’s first U.S.A. commercial GPRS deployment with Triton PCS. Assisted in MPLS backbone/backhaul designs resulting in successful commercial deployments for France Telecom North American Backbone Network, and China Telecom. Assisted in successful Ericsson ERION SONET product line sale to ITCDeltacom, a fiber provider of voice and data backhaul. Assisted in designing and implementing VoIP and multi service networks with PBX’s, media gateways, MPLS, tunneling, and VRRP vLANs and VPNs.

Began the birth and delivery of digital data and voice over broadband HFC and wireless networks. Coordinated with sales team to nurture business need with MSO's and service providers around the world. We ran proof of concept trials in customer sites proving the viability of delivering multiple services for broadband service providers. Some of the services we proved and delivered included: circuit switched voice, data services, VoIP, multicast, video, VOD, interdiction, home networking, digital video, generic packet network services, and more. Major involvement with customers in multiservice network architecture, design, planning, and testing. Worked directly with both Cox Communications and Comcast through planning, proof of concept, and successful initial roll out of first new broadband services, both on a national scope. Also worked with a variety of telco and exchange carriers and their labs. In the end I had worked on every continent but Africa and Antarctica.

As a self employed consultant I worked with South Carolina State Legislature IT on various projects and UPS Worldwide Truck Leasing and UPS corporate on a long term contractual basis.

I began as sole regional SE in the southeastern U.S. I brought new SE's on board and trained, directed and managed them. Direct customers included: Coke; Delta; Boeing Computer Services; Ga. Power; Ga. Pacific; Bell South; and Southern Bell. After ~2 yrs. I moved to sole technical/marketing/development laiason with IBM. After we signed long term $60M contract with IBM I moved back into the region. My specialties revolved around multiple transport and routing protocols in network planning, management and trouble shooting. Novell's corporate revenue doubled every year I was there and my accounts always exceeded 100% of quota attainment. The keys to our successes included my ability to deliver our products to meet the customer's business needs, hands on proof of concept demos and resolving product issues to meet project goals.

Director, technical and product development of branch bank product line. Managed conversion of stand alone system for car dealers into a distributed (NetWare) network system for branch banking. This involved extensive operations analysis in preparation for product development and life cycle. My leadership tasks included design, development, enhancement with host connectivity, sales, marketing, collateral, installation, support training and guidelines and escalation tiers for problem resolutions.

Managed software/firmware process control system design & development. Worked directly with electronics and industrial engineers on development of interprocess communications as well as applications and process control. The system was designed wholly on a simulation platform. We extensively utilized operations analysis methods and real time modeling.

Programming in Baggage Systems Group and sole programmer for the credit card verification system.

Member of 3 person team which designed and implemented a custom distributed dual database star network. The central cooperative database used by commodities traders resided on the world's largest IBM System 36. Each remote franchise location hosted an IBM PC running Concurrent DOS with a specially designed I/O card to communicate with the System 36. We utilized state of the art Hayes 300 and Hayes 1200 modems for communications. We developed all the communication software from both the System 36 side and the PC side as well as the application software on the PC's, and defining and tweaking the the System 36 database and code in the process.

Multiple mainframe systems engineer, assisting in transparent Host-to-Host development and implementation, system optimization techniques, monitoring and improving systems performance, and teamed to provide consulting services & how-to manuals for applications programmers.
