• To manage Care and Charity clients insurance portfolios, and to achieve targets set.• To provide a high level of technical insurance advice to clients, and to liaise with internal corporate brokers to negotiate the most appropriate solution for the client. • Monitor and review business activities of existing clients on an ongoing basis to ensure policies are accurate and all required covers are in place• Set up New Business appointments and dealing with new business referrals from existing clients. • Advising clients on their exposures/cross selling and preparing presentations for corporate brokers to secure quotations from the market • Visit clients following a significant new claim notification in the event of the Claims Manager being unavailable

Responsible for new business development and existing account management for Qdos Broker & Underwriting Services - a fully FCA registered principle.Qdos is an established wholesale insurance broker and underwriter providing the UK market with a vast array of legal expenses, motor and household add-on insurances sold through; wholesale brokers, direct brokers, affinity groups, and comparison sites. Qdos also offers assistance in placing niche and specialist schemes through a vast array of insurers which includes the London Lloyds market.

• Negotiating- Able to present a case positively to insurers and obtain the best terms for the group• A high understanding of rating and policy terms/wordings to be able to sell to the broker• Ensure Group binding authorities are utilised to best advantage to ensure maximum return to the group.• To Underwrite and accept risks in accordance with the groups delegated authority schemes• Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules and requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and any other legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks• Audits to ensure compliance within the Group on a monthly basis and with insurers on an annual basis• Act as a focal point on scheme underwriting and technical issues for staff and for insurers• Train and monitor front line sales staff to provide them with a limited amount of schemes authority.• Help identify new scheme opportunities, aiding with product development, covers and wordings as necessary, dealing with the Lloyds London market on specialist cases
