My main responsibility was to track defects in the front end of the paint shop, specifically the pretreatment, e-coat, and sealer processes. I Completed daily quality checks on all three models to make sure sound deadener application was within spec, as well as monitor stray sealer and e-coat that remained on the vehicles before base coat. I also performed root cause analysis on a wide number of defects that occurred throughout the summer in order to correct the already exposed units as well as prevent any more defects in the process.

Studied waste water and cooling water treatment in an oil refinery an hour south of Houston. Specialized in heat exchangers, monitoring their flow rates and comparing the current readings to previous flows to identify units that may be experiencing fouling and need to be cleaned next planned shutdown. I also ran daily tests on the various systems in the refinery to ensure proper operating conditions were met, reducing the effects of corrosion or scaling in the pipes that our cooling water flowed through.
