Married to Deborah (Wade) Gabe June 5, 1976.Have one son, daughter-in-law, and 2 grandsons.Began career in 1973 as a high school business teacher, football coach, wrestling coach, and track coach. Began business career as a petroleum distributor in 1977. Owns Heritage Petroleum, headquartered in Evansville IN. Heritage employs a staff of just under 100 and has 115 million gallons of distributed petroleum products. The company sells product and manages fuel accounts in 15 states with customers ranging from railroads to tug boats, coal mines to utilities. Heritage is a franchisee for Pacific Pride commercial fuel.Have been a board member of the Indiana Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (IPCA) and has headed up its Regulatory Committee for the state of Indiana. Is also involved in Christian ministry boards of Overseas Council and Amerson Music Ministries. Co-founded, along with Norm Miller (chair of Interstate Batteries), the Evansville I Am Second movement.Is passionate about supporting the spread of the gospel of Christ in Evansville, IN and around the world.
