With years of experience at jumping into a project mid-stream, I can quickly get my bearings, and then wrap over the project to own the system and point it in the right direction.Specifically, I have reworked and implemented numerous 2D and 3D machine vision applications both in the lab and on-site. Work with Linux-based Tire Testing and Optimization Control (TTOC) systems, installed on Tire Uniformity Optimization (TUO) and Tire Geometry / Buldge (TG / TB) machinery.Research and develop TTOC system components: Tire Sidewall Inspection System (TSIS) - Laser scanning + Servo control Fixed Radial Runout (RRO) - Laser scanning Tire Automatic Inflation Regulator (TAIR) - Servo control system TQC-86 Flexible Grinders - Controls retrofitManage laser scanning system hardware and acquisition software. Evaluate new laser sensors, and design solutions for replacing antiquated sensing systems (contact / capacitive probes).Introduced new product: the Tire Automatic Inflation Regulator (TAIR) servo air regulator. Responsible for both mechanical hardware / design, and software control of TAIR.Remotely support TTOC tire testing systems, coordinating with support team members, and plant staff.Modify and create PLC programs for new devices, or to integrate with third-party machinery in the field.Perform machine check-out and quality verification procedures, before and after shipment to customer plant.Travel inside and out of U.S. for machine installations and retrofits.

Assisted in the development and support of multiple National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) projects. Exercised or gained skills in many fields of engineering, including software, electrical and mechanical. Programmed custom software to support projects. Designed mechanical hardware to be included in a project test. Wired sensors, data-loggers, and temperature controllers to engineering projects.

Assisted students and faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department. Maintained department computer labs and classrooms. Repaired equipment, and constructed various electronic hardware. Also, aided in data center administration, and networking.

Learned about the factors involved with the manufacture of rubber hose and rubber processing. Performed various tests on numerous rubber samples. Manufactured sample hoses. Operated rubber processing equipment.

Supported a wide variety of systems and software. Aided in the implementation of a number of systems, including but not limited to: industrial vision systems, security cameras, Linux-based control systems, etc.
