• Major tasks for Mechanical and piping engineer in MMA• Support the development and evaluation of new shipbuilding and repair projects machinery system design and engineering calculation, and drawing including selection of propulsion, electrical, auxiliary machinery, machinery arrangement, design of shafting & machinery foundation and vibration analysis, powering analysis, FMEA, etc.• Perform engineering analysis, participate in design review, develop tests procedure to ensure design requirement are met and verified.• Conduct equipment inspection, survey and evaluate equipment condition and performance, including supplier quality inspection.• Develop technical specification (brief, outline and detailed).• Develop comprehensive equipment list and specification.• Evaluate energy consumption and identity energy conservation opportunities.• Work with supplier/consultant to mitigate undesirable vibration, failure mode & consequences.• Develop and evaluate deck, engine room and accommodation arrangement.• Liaise with design consultant, owner’s representative, classification surveyor, production, supplier on all engineering matters.• Checking HVAC and firefighting technical specification, data and drawing.
