Language Point Training creates sustainable teacher development programmes to run in partner centres, in order to give ESOL teachers the opportunity to gain internationally recognised qualifications in TESOL, where they would normally not have the resources to do so. Language Point CPD projects give teachers the tools to take control of their own development in simple, sustainable ways, making their teaching more effective through ownership, collaboration and self-management.Language Point CPD and training projects can be run at any school, centre or other location.

Led a team of 15 local and international EAP tutors through term setup, delivery and assessment of the Winchester School of Art Academic English for Art and Design Programme in terms 1 and 2 of the 2021-22 academic year.

Delivered Academic English Skills courses to international Year 1 students at Sussex University ISC. Developed an outcomes-based curriculum for Foundation Year intakes 2022 onwards and consulted on raising awareness about the Chinese and East-Asian educational paradigms, to enable greater cross-cultural awareness in staff at the centre.

Led a team of 4 teacher trainers, delivering intensive 4-week and part-time 12-week Trinity CertTESOL courses at Trinity College's regional headquarters in Hong Kong.Managed and delivered teacher development projects in Hong Kong and Macau primary and secondary schools.Organised conference events for local educators, and attended the Regional Trinity College ESOL Representatives conference in Beijing as keynote speaker.Consulted with Trinity College London Executive Committee on trends and futures in the Chinese educational system, brought about by changes to the revised 2017 GaoKao syllabus and assessment construct.

An amazing experience working with top-flight students at the prestigious Qingdao No. 2 Middle School Kaplan University Pathway (US) and NCUK Foundation Year programmes. In this position, I spearheaded a Continuous Professional Development programme for English-medium teachers of GCSE, A-level, SAT and ESOL examinations teachers. Developing the language and subject teaching skills of local and international teachers at the centre, leading peer observation cycles and delivering CPD seminars and workshops.

As well as overseeing academic activity at busy schools and for Summer programmes in Malta, I led a year-long series of Comenius teacher development projects for teachers coming from around the EU and Turkey. The diverse range of settings, subject specialisms and experience in these teachers was a real challenge to work with, but through application of sound training techniques, methodological and language awareness input and regular microteaching projects, these dedicated teachers went from strength to strength in their time on the projects.

In this short stint as a teacher development specialist, I trained three cohorts of English and subject teachers from around the EU and Turkey on Comenius teacher development projects held in Exeter. Designing and implementing bespoke training sessions to target the specific needs of these teachers in the areas of English language teaching, differentiated instruction, Special Educational Needs and CLIL.

In this position I worked with Engineering, Social Sciences and International Communications Students, providing EAP provision and assessment in their first and second years of their undergraduate study in Ningbo, before they continued their studies in Nottingham, UK.

At Otago, New Zealand's largest university, I delivered presessional Bridging Programme and Foundation Year EAP for local and international students in preparation for their undergraduate degree study in a wide range of subjects. I also wrote content for the revised 2010 Otago Bridging Programme.

As ADoS at this centre, I oversaw timetabling, curriculum direction and teacher development for a team of 5 teachers of ESOL and IELTS, as well as delivering IELTS classes for level-banded groups.

Planned and delivered Language Awareness and assignment-related input for the Trinity CertTESOL course, and taught Unknown Language (Mandarin Chinese) lessons to trainees.

Oversaw planning and delivery and assessment of general and business English classes at a busy language centre in Nanjing.

Planned and delivered General English, IELTS, TOEFL and Business English classes.
