In 2006, I had the opportunity to start a business partnership. After developing my design skills over 2 years in the industry, this new venture enabled me to focus on my interpersonal & management skills and develop projects from conception to delivery of completed work.Key duties as business owner and designer covered:> Day-to-day running of a small business> Business marketing > Account management > Tendering/pitching for projects> Co-ordinating the delivery of several large projects at any one time> Directing photo shoots> Presenting concepts and designs to new and existing clients> Leading all types of design projects, from conception to delivery

In 2015, as part of a restructure within Parker Design I was promoted to Art Director, managing and supporting a team of designers with the objective of producing high quality work to specific briefs, deadlines and budgets.My key duties included:> Daily management of a small team of designers (senior and junior level)> Creative direction of all design work within the team> Management of workflow and delegation> Management of time and budgets> Account management of key client projects> Co-ordinating all aspects of design from concepts to delivery of projects> Leading presentations to new and existing clients> Working as a team to produce the best possible work for our clients

In 2013, I was successful in securing a Senior Design role as part of a small team at Parker Design. The role was unique as, not only did we create concepts and designs for individual clients we also managed and built the accounts. A unique model that our clients loved.My responsibilities included:> Leading all types of design projects, from conception to delivery> Design projects including; concepts/ideas, print, digital, exhibition, video, branding and campaigns across B2B and B2C clients> Pitching and presenting concepts and designs to new and existing clients> Project management / account management to new and existing clients> Overseeing projects to ensure all design work completed to a high standard

After completing University, I secured my first design job at a small family run design agency in Macclesfield. I was given the opportunity to work on a variety of design briefs including editorial design for a monthly magazine and POS for a national stationery store.This role enabled me to develop my core design skills.My responsibilities included:> Producing digital and print based designs to meet client briefs> Monthly editorial designs, meeting set deadlines> Artworking retail POS> CD/DVD reproduction> In-house print from setup to production
