I am responsible for swiftly processing fund expense payments and overseeing expense accruals while providing exceptional client service and satisfaction. I have experience in the processing of settlements, segregation, pension and distribution payments to make sure our fund index is correctly priced in the market for our current shareholders and potential investors. This role requires a large amount of due diligence and good time management to ensure our clients are happy and prices and valuations are being correctly processed.

During this time I decided to have a career break and go travelling to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Singapore. I had the most incredible time and decided the path that I really wanted to take in my career.

To assist Investment Managers in effective and efficient information about certain funds portfolio’s through creating monthly statistics which would have to be presented to the Investment Managers for the whole of Wealth and Heritage. I voluntarily put my name forward to take over the task of financial KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) which involved setting up a workbook each month calculating figures like ‘Profitability over time’, ‘Working Capital’ and ‘LOB Revenue vs. Target’. I had to ensure a high level of due diligence in making sure all statistics have been calculated correctly along with the analysis of graphs before presenting to managers.My role also involved working in the Pricing and Dealing team, I had to oversee the daily pricing of over 10,000 funds across the company’s platforms, whilst liaising with asset managers including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Allianz, Blackrock and more.I am currently studying for my IMC Investment Management qualification and in the future I would like to take the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam to really test my own ability and broaden my knowledge in securities and derivatives and the financial industry as a whole.

Being an Accounts Assistant at First Port allowed me to really interact with clients on a daily basis. I gained valuable experience being the first point of contact for clients as well as looking at other potential clients through the business networking. The first couple of weeks I started helping as an Accounts Assistant working with financial statements, purchase ledgers and sales ledgers for different clients to give me informed decisions going forward. I was then ask to assist in the client relationship department which was a challenging yet fun experience with a great team of people who I valued very highly. I built great business relationships which made this job enjoyable, as well as valuable experience in different areas of the business.
