I’m Tom Gilman, the Founder and former CEO of Biosero, Inc. my continuous focus is on getting better every day: LEARNING, GIVING BACK, having more patience, being a better: -listener -friend -father -family member -team mate, etc. I LOVE to work in/with the best team and feel I make the greatest impact when I am helping others. I have a passion for learning, and continue to instill that in myself, my marriage and my family.As Founder and CEO, I drove a TEAM strategy, of continuous learning & development at Biosero, the company I formed in 2003.I had a vision, based on past experiences, projects, successes and failures. I learned that only the best team can solve the most difficult problems.For more than 30 years I delivered on the promise of lab automation by working in great teams to solve complex workflow challenges for our customers.In 2021 I was awarded as the top CEO in San Diego in the medium size private company category (50-150 employees, San Diego Business Journal/ May 2021) top 500 executives in San Diego (San Diego Business Journal/ Nov 2021). Biosero was also awarded one of Best Places to Work in San Diego and our CTO received honors for CTO of the year.I strive for excellence from myself, my family and my team.As a volunteer, Biosero has worked with several local and national organizations. Every year our team members nominated and voted for a philanthropic cause to receive a contribution from Biosero.Volunteer Work Included:- Biosero – WHY Project (Major Donations – American Cancer Society, The Cancer Research Institute, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, Children of Africa, The Max Vincze Foundation, etc..)- Biosero – San Diego Food Bank Volunteers- Biosero – Girl’s Inc – - Biosero - RARE BEARS, cures for rare pediatric diseases- Biosero – Walk to End Alzheimer’s- Biosero – Walk to End Muscular DystrophyWe continue to sponsor a local automation club, Team Inspiration, made up of the best young automation talent in San Diego. I love working with young people, helping them understand the multitude of opportunities that are available to them. They are inspiring!At the end of the day my drive lies where it always has been, helping others achieve their goals by helping them understand their vision, how to align to that vision and how to execute on that vision! In my new roles: Investor, mentor, continuous learner, team mate, etc. I look forward to making the most positive impact possible before I expire............ because I will never retire.
