Responsible for leading the Department’s enterprise mission to implement and maintain community-based health care for our nation's veterans and their beneficiaries. I lead spending for over $8 billion of community-based health care annually.

I led a staff of 100 employees of a team from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Responsible for leading contracting efforts on the Department’s enterprise effort to implement and maintain community-based access to health care for our nation's veterans and their families. I led a staff of 80 employees of a national contracting team from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs providing community-based access to health care to our nations veterans.

I led a staff of 20 employees of a centralized contracting and oversight administrative group from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Was responsible for leading the Department’s enterprise effort to implement and maintain contracted private sector health care from a national perspective.

Served as the acting Office of Community Care, Delivery Operations Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Planned, directed, organized, and exercised leadership oversight over fiscal and financial staff of a 71-person professional financial management team that designed, established and maintained an integrated financial management system that included accounting, budgeting, payroll, recovery management, position management and managerial-financial reporting. Had oversight of a $10B budget and supported a program with over 2,400 employees.

Led an innovative financial operation center. This included managing all aspects of a highly automated centralized accounts receivable office, including fielding an average of 2,100 phone inquiries a day via our call center. I managed an office of 180 employees providing nationwide services to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. I managed over $2.5 billion a year in receivables. I put practices in place that increased our call capacity by 44% to over 500K calls a year. I decreased the processing time by 50% for transaction requests without increasing overall costs.
