Experience gained: • Responsible for production of the group consolidated and company statutory financial statements for group and single entity financial statements for over 40 UK and overseas subsidiaries.• Managed the Financial Accounting team of 4 direct reports and acted as the key technical accounting expert within the group by providing technical advice, writing technical accounting papers and maintaining group accounting policies.• Oversaw the preparation of the consolidated group P/l, balance sheet and cash flow budgeting and re-forecasting processes using modelling techniques. This consisted of the production of a new group consolidation and accounting for the funds flow throughout the exiting group. • Ownership of all acquisition accounting for numerous annual acquisitions, including goodwill and intangibles valuation, deferred tax and non-controlling interest. • Maintained continued compliance with banking agreements including producing covenant compliances calculations and forecasted covenant compliance based on group forecasts and predicted acquisitions. • Responsible for all group taxes both in the UK and overseas including VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes and withholding tax. • Undertook a US and UK company restructuring project. • Assisted with the selection and implementation of a new ERP system.• Oversaw the working capital position of the group.
