Among his more than thirty awards and decorations, Tom was recognized in 2017 with the rank of Meritorious Executive, placing him in the top 5% of all government executives.As the G2 Chief of (Intelligence and Security) for US Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Tom’s team coined the term “Overmatch.” The threats his team identify drive Army doctrine, organization, training, leader development, material fielding strategy and planning. Prior to TRADOC, Tom served as the Senior Intelligence Advisor at US Army Europe, building multi-national intelligence and law enforcement teams to secure the US and our allies from the threat of international terrorism while initiating the application of cutting edge technologies that were later adopted Internationally.Tom served a one year detail as a senior civilian intelligence advisor to the Multi-National Force Headquarters during the surge in Iraq. As an Army officer, Tom deployed five times as the senior intelligence officer for operations in Asia, the Americas, the Balkans and elsewhere. He is a graduate of Hunter College of the City University of New York; the Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies; executive programs at Northwestern University, the University of North Carolina and the University of Virginia; and completed the Intelligence Community Fellows Program.Specialties: Futures, Strategic Planning, Mentoring, Analysis, Data Science, International Liaison, Crisis Response, Change Management, Plans, Technical Architectures, Knowledge Management and Risk Analysis.

In December 2008, Tom served a voluntary one year detail as the Senior Intelligence Advisor for Multinational Forces in Iraq during the decisive “Sunni Awakening.”In Europe Tom built an international consortium of intelligence, law enforcement and policy agencies that prevented international crises. To do this he applied his extensive experience in intelligence, security, strategic planning, information systems, international liaison, futurecasting and predictive analysis to disrupt clandestine threats before they could harm the US or our allies. In order to build trust with more than a dozen nations so they would share sensitive data to advance mutual national objectives, Tom had to demonstrate cross cultural skills and confidence building measures. Additionally, Tom enhanced the confidence of allied military and security forces prior to their deployments to hostile environments by hands on training tailored to their capabilities
