My doctoral training at UNE revolved around being patient-centered and providing comprehensive care. As a provider, you were responsible for all procedures involved in treatment, even routine cleanings. Personalized treatment plans would be fabricated only after consulting a general dentist, as well as, different specialist in their respective fields. Being a newer school, I was trained with the latest equipment and research based techniques.

Worked on externship at Gorham Family Dentistry, Gorham, New Hampshire. Under the supervision of the dentist, performed all general clinical dentistry procedures such as exams, restorative work, as well as, root canal therapy and crown/bridge procedures. Gained valuable experience taking patients from initial exams all the way to finalizing treatment and having them enter maintenance phase.

A member of the Molecular Diagnotistic Product Development group trained to work in a BSL-2 laboratory with human pathogens. Currently Involved in testing and development of diagnostic detection kits.

Worked as a teaching assistant for the course Physiology and Anatomy at the University of Connecticut. Duties included teaching the laboratory portion of the course and direct teaching of the material and concepts studied in lab. I was responsible for teaching, preparing PowerPoint material covering background for the lab, and grading of weekly lab reports.

2010 Worked in a research laboratory on an individual research project dealing with understanding how the central nervous system develops in mice. To approach this question, the retina was used as a model for the brain, and I was trained in micro-dissection techniques. I was also trained to work with PCR, Gel electrophoresis and DNA extraction, confocal microscopy, Insitu hybridization, mouse genetics, breeding and handling. I was also trained in interpretation of results and professional public speaking on my findings. I'm trained in Microsoft office, Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
