Providing industry and company specific research to support Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ's credit and investment strategy in the EMEA natural resource markets. I was initially hired to provide insightful & impactful research in only the oil & gas markets. However my role quickly expanded to cover utilities, mining, metals and commodity traders. This gave me a breadth of experience which is invaluable in terms of linking all energy markets from upstream production via commodity markets, right through to consumers.Tasks involved authoring in depth reports covering particular industry issues which were to impact the bank's position as a financier in specific segments.

After joining Platts in May 2014 I managed several projects in varied areas including Platts oil and gas geospatial data, global natural gas and LNG market analysis, commodity shipping intelligence and commodity market sizing analysis.As well as being on different subjects the projects utilized different techniques and had different objectives ranging from providing the voice of the industry, analyzing competitor strategy, providing product development guidance and quantitative analysis used in corporate strategy. I often had up to five projects active at any one time with total responsibility from inception and scoping through to final delivery of the research. Tight deadlines and changing business needs means organizational skills were essential.

Joining Datamonitor in 2012, I project managed the delivery of the Energy Buyer Research from scoping to final presentation. I also designed and implemented the improvement of the UK market share monitor and company structural balances reports. Away from statistical analysis I also wrote about utility customer retention strategies and customer behaviour in in depth formal reports. I analyzed the market structure and regulation surrounding third party intermediaries (TPIs) in the UK and forecast the development of the market. I self taught myself to design and build several Tableau dashboards to make the team’s data presentation more accessible and intuitive to use for our customers.

As the analyst responsible for IMS Research's PV inverter research, I was the author of a global report that profiled and analysed the industry in high detail. As well as achieving record sales of the report I also presented at several industry leading conferences including Intersolar in Munich.
