Worked in retail ages 15-28.Began employment age 15 working weekends, progressing to full time having left school.Worked across a wide variety of departments & roles in my first job at a local petrol station & mini supermarket; shop floor assistant, checkout assistant, delicatessen assistant, coffee shop assistant, warehouse & goods in, shop floor assistant shift supervisor.Aged 18 moved to Tesco with the ambition of greater prospects and career progression.Worked across several departments across 8 years with the company; checkout assistant, frozen food assistant, electrical assistant progressing into electrical sales advisor, team leader across 4 fresh food counters including butchery/meat, fishmonger, delicatessen & cooked hot food, progressing onto "Options" management training, working as department manager on counters and frozen/wines & spirts/warehouse & goods in. In my time on counters I completed an apprenticeship in Food Retail.Age 26, left Tesco amid a company wide restructure of the management, joining BP as a deputy store manager where I worked for 2 years before starting a family & made the decision to leave retail to spend more time with my family.Began working as a delivery driver for a local plumbers merchant for 3 years before moving to their sister company Wizard Hot Tubs, where I have now worked for 2 years selling, installing & servicing hot tubs.
