At Spiire I worked within the Planning Department as a Student Town Planner. In this role I worked on a wide range of projects including gaining approvals for inner suburban as well as green field residential, industrial and commercial developments. I also contributed to obtaining planning scheme amendments most notably for some site-specific land re-zonings. My position also enabled me to fast track my knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Planning process and it enabled me to learn about the broader development process by working within a multi-disciplinary land development company.

I held the position of a Student Planner and worked in the Statutory Services team at the Department of Planning. This role included but was not restricted to attending meetings with Council’s and other Government departments, responding to correspondence, preparing planning scheme amendments and checking condition 1 plans.
