Directly after finishing my degree at Loughborough University I gained a short placement at PDD which grew into a contractor position. This first year in industry allowed me to work on various projects developing my skills in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, Human Centered Design and Design for Manufacture giving me in-depth base knowledge of all.

In this placement year I worked closely with a number of clients on projects ranging from packaging through to web design. It allowed me to work with a project from the clients idea phase through to project completion. I produced successful branding and marketing and learnt lots of client management and communication skills in the process.

At the Phantom Pub, Loughborough I worked my way up to senior bar staff in a team where I was responsible for ensuring the bar was run cleanly and efficiently. I was also in charge of helping to train new staff members by showing them correct procedure and routine.
